Performance characteristics of hydrogenated nitrile rubber

Hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR or HSN) is a product obtained by hydrogenation and saturation of carbon carbon double bonds on the molecular chain of nitrile rubber, also known as highly saturated nitrile rubber. It has a series of excellent properties, including good oil resistance, heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, ozone resistance, high resistance to compression permanent deformation, as well as high strength, high tear resistance, and excellent wear resistance. Therefore, hydrogenated nitrile rubber is considered one of the rubber with excellent comprehensive performance, widely used in fields such as oil fields and automotive industry.

After removing the double chain from nitrile by hydrogenation, its temperature resistance and weather resistance are much improved compared to nitrile, and its oil resistance is similar to that of ordinary nitrile.

General operating temperature: -25~150 ℃.

Advantages: Compared to nitrile, it has better wear resistance, excellent corrosion resistance, tensile resistance, tear resistance, compression deformation, and good resistance to ozone, sunlight, and other atmospheric conditions.

Disadvantage: Not recommended for use in alcohol lipid aromatic solutions.

Commonly used in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry, it is widely used as a cleaning agent for environmentally friendly refrigerant R134a system seals, automotive engine system seals, laundry and dishwashing.
