Introduction to Various Rubber Raw Materials

The following is an introduction to several common rubber raw materials:

Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR): SBR is a synthetic rubber made by copolymerization of butadiene and styrene. It has good wear resistance, aging resistance, and antioxidant properties, and is widely used in the manufacturing of rubber products such as tires, tape, rubber hoses, wires and cables.

Natural rubber (NR): Natural rubber is made from latex collected from rubber trees and is a polymer of isoprene. It has the characteristics of high elasticity, high elongation, good mechanical strength, and cold resistance, and is widely used in the manufacturing of rubber products such as tires, tape, rubber hoses, wires and cables.

Nitrile rubber (NBR): Nitrile rubber is a synthetic rubber made by copolymerization of acrylonitrile and butadiene. It is mainly used for manufacturing oil resistant rubber products, such as oil seals, O-rings, etc.

EPDM: EPDM is a synthetic rubber made by copolymerization of ethylene, propylene, and a small amount of non conjugated dienes. It has excellent ozone resistance, UV resistance, and heat resistance, and is widely used in the manufacturing of rubber products such as automotive components, building waterproof materials, and wire and cable sheaths.

Hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR): Hydrogenated nitrile rubber is a special type of synthetic rubber made by adding hydrogen gas to nitrile rubber for hydrogenation treatment. It has excellent heat resistance, oil resistance, and chemical resistance, and is widely used in the manufacturing of high demand rubber products such as seals and shock absorbers.

Polyurethane rubber (PUR): Polyurethane rubber is a thermoplastic elastomer formed by the reaction of polyester and isocyanate. It has excellent wear resistance, fatigue resistance, and chemical resistance, and is widely used in the manufacturing of rubber products such as shoe soles, automotive parts, and medical devices.
