Fluororubber refers to a synthetic polymer elastomer containing fluorine atoms on the carbon atoms of the main or side chains. Due to the introduction of fluorine atoms, this rubber has excellent heat resistance, oxidation resistance, oil resistance, corrosion resistance, and atmospheric aging resistance. It has been widely used in fields such as aerospace, aviation, automobiles, petroleum, and household appliances, and is a key material that cannot be replaced in cutting-edge defense industries. Since 1943, multiple varieties have been developed, including polyolefin fluorine rubber, nitroso fluorine rubber, tetrapropylene fluorine rubber, phosphonitrile fluorine rubber, and perfluoroether rubber.

Advantages: High temperature resistance>silicone rubber, excellent chemical resistance, weather resistance to most oils and solvents (excluding ketones, fats, etc.), ozone resistance.

General operating temperature: -20~250 ℃. The special formula can withstand low temperatures of -40 ℃, and is acid resistant but not alkali resistant.

Disadvantages: It is not recommended to use ketones, low molecular weight lipids, and mixtures containing nitrates, as they have poor cold resistance.

Commonly used for sealing fuel systems in automotive and locomotive diesel engines and chemical plants.
